![]() Ilpyo' analytical prediction was capable of discerning acupuncture just by looking at it and figuring out that it's dependant on Mori's right index finger. Even his move, Kick of the Blue Dragon was a move he came up with after seeing Daewi perform wave of blue dragon. When faced with Ilpyo's fire kicks that were created by the oxygen rich air around them, Mori created a counter kick that utilized the cool air that sank from the fire to create an ice kick. If you don't put Mori down in the first hit, he can adapt to and copy your martial art on top of creating brand new techniques meant to counter your fighting style. Breaking bones is seen as an inconvenience to Mori even without Painlessness. Mori's clone, Mori Hui, could fight a God without arms or legs. He was continuously struck by lightning and still punched Jegal relentlessly because he couldn't feel a thing. Mori was impaled through the chest and both arms and continued fighting. I suppose this would also apply to opponents with other forms of precognition and analytical prediction as well. This means that even though Yami can read Ki, if someone else can read Ki too, he can potentially get out-read, and out-reacted. Yami pointed out that Vetto read his own Ki, and used this to take the advantage. However, there is one clear weakness that Yami has, and we saw this being pointed out in chapter 51, page 13, where he was fighting against all members of the Third Eye, and Vetto attacked him. If the opponent teleports behind him suddenly and launches an attack, Yami can react to it and parry it or block it because his usage of Ki allows him to know the opponent was going to do it by reading off their natural energy beforehand. If Yami is about to launch an attack and the opponent teleports away, then Yami can read the Ki to know exactly where they are going to teleport and launch the attack as they are teleporting away preemptively into that direction, so the attack still hits them (usually). In practice, the way Yami uses Ki is by reading the opponent's Ki to know what their next move is going to be, and preemptively reacting. ![]() It works very differently than seeing the future or acquiring immediate understanding of the opponent's fighting style. ![]() He made use of this when he confronted William Vangeance to try to see if William was lying about his identity or not. This, in particular allows him to basically "read intentions," and as such, he can detect whether someone is lying or not by simply using Ki. Yami's Ki, to be specific, works by reading the natural life energy that humans and other beings give off, and this allows him to effectively and efficiently predict what the opponent will do, even when they become untraceable to all other forms of sensing available within his verse, be it physical or magical. ![]()
